Our tour starts outside the Town Hall and continues along Northgate Street to the Cross, where the city’s town criers welcome visitors during the summer.  Explore the historic Rows and discover the city’s North American links.  Walk down to the River Dee.  Take in Chester’s rich heritage along part of the city walls, the Roman Gardens and amphitheatre.  See the Eastgate Clock and Chester Cathedral in all their glory. Walk through Abbey Square along the city walls and onto King Charles Tower.  Descend the steps to Northgate Street at Northgate – once the site of a notorious jail – and return to the Town Hall.
