Follow Queen’s Walk to reach Tower Bridge the scene of some near misses and the once notorious Tower of London.

Starting at St Paul’s Cathedral explore the City of London. See ancient Roman remains built by a cult, a historic market and ground breaking modern offices. Visit the Bank of England and the Gherkin. Hear about the Great Fire, the Lutine Bell and learn how Elizabeth Fry overcame prejudice on several fronts. Continue on the riverside path to the once dreaded Tower of London.

| Tour L4: Museums, Galleries and the Performing Arts |
|
Starting at the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square visit the National Portrait Gallery, pass through Leicester Square with its sprinkling of stardust depicted in statues and handprints and theatre land on your way to Covent Garden, with its entertainers and myriad emporia, London Transport Museum and the Royal Opera House. Complete the tour at the British Museum.

| Tour L5: City & South Bank Circular (This walk is best undertaken on Monday to Friday. Allow three hours) |

This tour starts at St Paul’s Cathedral and follows the route of Tour L3 to the Tower of London. It then follows the route of Tour L2, but in reverse, from Tower Bridge to St Paul’s via Queen’s Walk and the Millennium Bridge.
