Trafalgar Square Hot Property as Monopoly Goes Global

Five million people from across the world voted for the twenty-two cities that will appear on the first global version of the world's most popular board game. Britain's sole entry on the international board, London, will fill the spot reserved in the English capital's edition for Trafalgar Square. Montreal occupies preserved for Mayfair in the London version of the game that British players will be most familiar with. The Latvian capital Riga occupies the spot reserved on the London version of the game for Park Lane.

Wednesday, August 27, will see an attempt to create a world record for the most people to play the game simultaneously across the planet. The London contribution to the record attempt will begin in Covent Garden at 15:00.
